SCOTUS Gun Watch - Week of 12/9/25

The Supreme Court has now released the detailed oral argument calendar for January.  Wolford will be argued on Tuesday, January 20 at 10:00 am, and it is the first of two cases scheduled for that day.

There was an orders list yesterday morning but not much movement on Second Amendment cases.  The Court continues to hold dozens of petitions involving challenges to the federal felon ban by those convicted of non-violent crimes.  Petitions in cases involving age restrictions and assault weapon bans are also working their way up and will be considered at upcoming conferences.  It would not be surprising, in at least some of these cases, for the Court to hold petitions until next summer pending the decisions in Wolford and Hemani
