While some may have expected things to slow down in the Second Amendment area after two major decisions in quick succession in 2022 and 2024 (Bruen and Rahimi), courts continue to struggle with the history-and-tradition test as applied to all manner of modern gun restrictions.  And the Supreme Court is now prepared to weigh in again in two new cases, the highest number of Second Amendment cases it has ever had pending at the same time in the modern era.  We’ve covered these cases and other major developments in the courts and the policy world on the blog over the past year.
