“ACT III.
The Sabbath[1] to be[2] kept holy.

    THAT the Lord’s day be kept holy, and that no journeys be made except in case of emergent necessity[3] on that day, that no goods bee laden in boated nor shooting[4] in guns[5] or the like trending to the propagation[6] of that day, which duty is to be taken care of by the ministers and officers of the several churches, & by the commissioners in their places, and the party[7] delinquent to pay one hundred pounds of tobacco or laid[8] in the stocks, and to take care that servants and others do repair[9] to their several churches every[10] Lord’s day.”
