“ORDINANCE NO. 62
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE CARRYING OR USING OF ANY INSTRUMENT MADE OF STRING, RUBBER, LEATHER, COMMONLY KNOWN AS A BEAN SHOOTER, OR SLING SHOOTER, AIR GUNS, FOR THROWING OF ROCKS OR ANY OTHER HARD SUBSTANCE[1] IN THE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF WESTPORT, STATE OF WASHINGTON, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WESTPORT.
Sec. 1.; That it shall be and is unlawful for any person to use or have in his possession an instrument for the throwing of rocks or any other hard substance, commonly known as sling-shots, or bean-shooters, or air guns within the town limits of the Town of Westport.
Sec. 2.; That any person found guilty of violation of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall pay a fine of not more than $25.00 and costs of prosecution.
Sec. 3.; That this Ordinance shall take effect and be enforced after its passage, approval, and posting according to law.”
