“ORDINANCE NO. 829.

    AN ORDINANCE prohibiting the discharge of fireworks or explosives in the City of Vancouver, Washington, repealing ordinance in conflict herewith, and providing a penalty for the violation hereof.

    THE City Council of the City of Vancouver do ordain as follows:

Section One.

    It shall be unlawful for any person within the City limits of the City of Vancouver, Washington, to shoot or discharge any gun, revolver, pistol, or firearm of any kind or description, whether the same be loaded with powder and ball or shot or with blank cartridges, or to shoot or discharge any preparation of chlorate or potash, mixture of sulphur and saltpeter, or other explosive, or any mud cans, so called, toy cannon, loaded anvils, loaded canes, or similar devices, or any giant, of cannon crackers, or fire crackers, or any of the toy explosives commonly called fire works.

Section Two.

    It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, offer or expose for sale or in any manner furnish or dispose of any of the articles described in section one hereof.

Section Three.

    Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not more than one hundred or not less than five dollars or by imprisonment in the City jail for not more than twenty days.

Section Four.

    All ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Section Five.

    This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.”
