“CHAPTER 44.
PROHIBITIONS AND PENALTIES…
…Sec. 17. No person shall open, keep or maintain, or permit to be opened, kept or maintained upon premises owned or occupied by him within the distance of two hundred feet from any street, highway, gangway or open way over which the inhabitants of this city pass or may freely pass within the limits of the city, any pistol gallery or room, or place for the purpose of testing any pistol, rifle, musket or other firearm without using all such precautions against damage or accident as the chief of police may direct...
…Sec. 55. Whoever violates any provisions of this chapter except when otherwise provided, shall be punished by a fine of not less than two and not more than twenty dollars for each offense, and not only the person actually doing the prohibited thing, but also his employer and every other person concerned in so doing shall be punished by the said fine."
